Trip to Anghalo Falls

Hello peepz….

Once in a while it is just fine to pamper yourself like going to malls to watch movie or shopping… some want to have a good whole body massage, others go for a hike or plunge in to a 7 -8 ft swimming pool some rides boat for rock island hopping and other discovers hidden falls…

for those who are in for an adventure nature trip Zambales offers wide nature trips from Montain Hiking, Trail Trekking, Cave Hunting to Jumping on a cliff of a clear cold waterfalls.

One of which is the Anghalo Falls situated in Barangay Balincaguing San Felipe, Zambales.  From Olongapo City, you will probably spent an hour on a bus bound to Iba, Zambales.  The fare depends on which bus you are going to ride but i can assure you the amount is less 100Php.  Upon Bus stop in San Felipe Public Market, you can take a tricycle at 7 Eleven going to Anghalo Falls. The driver will drop you on the side of the road near a small store.

The adventure begins where three carabaos await for passengers going to the falls 20Php per head. your choice by the way whether to ride carabao or just trek ( i prefer riding carabao for more thrilled experience)

A hundred meters away you’ll hear the roaring waterfalls that would make you feel more excited.  There is an Entrance Fee of P50.00 upon arrival at the falls. There is a nipa hut or bamboo tables called “papag” with built in chairs to choose from.

It was very good to swim on its clear and cold water spending time until before sundown.  Picnic can be done here because the local government is already developing the place for tourist attraction.

The months of August to November is the best time for a visit because this waterfall is categorized as a stream waterfall which means it dries up during summer.  The pool is approximately eight feet deep during rainy seasonWhen visiting the place from Manila or Baguio City, take Victory Liner Bus.  Trips to Iba and Sta Cruz are scheduled daily, pwede nyo po tignan sa website nila.  I suggest when taking a tricycle going to the waterfalls, make sure the driver has a mobile phone so he can fetch you at a time you’re done swimming.
In Sitio Liwliwa, there are nipa huts and transient hotels where you can stay and spend the night at the beach. Tricycles will get you there in no more than twenty minutes from the waterfalls.
